We went to a petting zoo when Ruby was about 15 months... she called all the animals "doggie" and didn't really get it. Fast forward 4 months and Ruby loved hangin with the animals, she pet a chicken, a duck nibbled at her hair, she brushed a mule, and had her first pony ride. Having so much fun and loving every minute.
